Irishman Justin Green presented with prestigious honour in Bangladesh

This isn’t the first time Mr Green has been recognised for his contribution to the field of PR.

Justin Green, the President and CEO of Global Alliance for Public Relations and Communication Management, was recently honoured at a PR event in Bangladesh.

Global Alliance is the confederation of the world’s major PR and communication management institutes and associations. It represents 360,000 members from around the world.

Mr Green, who hails from Ireland, was given the title of Professor of Practice from the University of Liberal Arts Bangladesh in Dhaka, the country’s capital.

During the ceremony, Green’s contributions to the field of public relations were honoured. He was given the honour by the university’s vice chancellor, Professor Imram Rahman, who invited Green alongside the university’s pro vice chancellor, Professor Jude Genilo.

In addition to touring the campus, Mr Green cut the ribbon of the university’s brand new broadcast and social media studio. He also met with students, took part in a ULAB Campbuzz Radio interview, and served as a special guest speaker at an event organised by the Bangladesh Public Relations Association.

This isn’t the first time Mr Green has been recognised for his contribution to the field of PR and communications. To date, he has received 21 Life Fellowships and 16 international awards.

Prior to being honoured in Bangladesh, Mr Green spoke at the World Public Relations Forum which was held in Chennai, India.

There, he announced the launch of the World’s First Online History of Public Relations. The initiative, which has been created in collaboration with the Museum of Public Relations in the US, will serve as a comprehensive exploration of PR’s evolution around the world.

Additionally, Mr Green signed a letter addressed to the Secretary General of the UN, António Guterres, proposing a dialogue to create a new Sustainable Development Goal around the concept of responsible communication in relation to global sustainability.
