Ahead of Darkness Into Light, Pieta House's flagship awareness walk taking place this weekend, two bloggers have decided to create a powerful video to break down the stigma surrounding suicide.
Alice Kiernan and Megan Daly previously seized JOE's attention after the pair decided to surprise their fellow Maynooth University students with a series of gifts back in December 2016.
Continuing their #BeKind series, they are back, only on a serious note, by encouraging people to talk about suicide and Irish people's attitudes towards the subject.
The idea is extremely simple, but incredibly profound. Their guests are shown the word 'suicide', asked to discuss how it affected their lives and finally, encouraged to say the word aloud. There aren't any frills. It is straight to the point and effective in this way.
