Food Safety Authority issue warning over popular brand of chicken goujons

Carl Kinsella

The Food Safety Authority of Ireland has issued an allergen alert over this month’s batch of Big Al’s Chicken Goujons.

According to the FSAI, both mustard and milk were undeclared on the label of the batch of goujons that are labelled as best before the end of December 2018. The warning continued, “This may make the batch unsafe for consumers who are allergic to or intolerant of mustard and/or milk and their constituents.”

The warning further specifies that this oversight applies to the 400g pack.

The warning can be read in full on the FSAI website.
