JOE’s resident videographer and Photoshop genius Peter Cooney wants to get ripped in eight weeks. With a lot of help from Raw Condition Gym, here’s his final week in review.

When Ant gave me my first meal plan, this day seemed like an age away. I thought I wouldn’t be able to keep it up and change what was required to get where I wanted to be. But here I am, eight weeks later and in the best shape of my life.
It’s been tough, very tough, but if you asked would I do it again, I would say yes a billion times over. The transformation is worth every second of it. John in Raw said it was life changing and I couldn’t agree more.
Not only am I a physically different beast (rawr), mentally I’m a different man. My outlook on my health and lifestyle has changed somewhat. I have finally realised and experienced the benefits of healthy living and the advantages of actually going to the gym.
‘Hey everyone, come see how good I look’
Whilst I’m glad to be on the other side of the eight weeks, I feel like it’s just the beginning of really getting into the shape I want. I’ve done all the hard work – stripping my body fat from 19% to 9% – so it’s a case of building up the size now, so I’ll be all macho n’ shit!
However, all that can wait a week as I’m off to Graspop. The end of this challenge was very conveniently timed to coincide with the festival and I don’t think it would have been an option to continue the diet over there. Butcher Byrne and the two sexy Brez’s would have none of it. I just need to ensure that I get straight back on that muscly wagon… when I’m back.
Muscles, so many muscles
I might give the turkey and broccoli a miss for a bit longer though. After eating it day in, day out for the past eight weeks, I’m sure you can understand my need to see other meats and veg. But if you’re serious about getting into shape, they’re two things that should be tattooed to the top of your shopping list. Or just write it down; tattooing a shopping list would be ridiculous and very time-consuming.
Of course, I wouldn’t really be here telling y’all about my ‘hot bod’ if it wasn’t for all the unbelievable help and advice I’ve gotten from the start. I don’t have enough words to describe how thankful I am to Ant and the lads in Raw. The support and encouragement was there every single step of the way. If you’re serious about getting into shape, do get in contact with Raw; it may be the best decision you ever make. You won’t find a better gym or better trainers. And that, my good friends, is an absolute fact.
Evolution, Peter Cooney style
Also I can’t be forgetting Courtney’s for feeding with me their fine meat. Their help went a long way to me achieving my goals. Without everything they’ve done for me, it would have been a lot harder to keep up the diet plan so I just can’t thank them enough.
So that’s me. Eight weeks down and the rest of my life to go. I may or may not have been out shooting some sexy ‘reveal’ snaps, that you may or may not get to see next week 😉
I really enjoyed writing about my journey every week and hopefully y’all won’t be strangers. If you want to ask me anything or want any advice feel free to give me a holla.
Yours in muscles,
Peter
