The Teeling Distillery proves itself as one of Dublin’s most popular visitor spots as it passes 185,000 visitors

Sure who doesn’t love a bit of whiskey?

Teeling Whiskey are celebrating two things today. The first is that their Distillery in Dublin is two years old and the second, arguably more impressive feat, is that they welcomed their 185,000th visitor through their doors today.

The honour was bestowed upon Patricia Lienig and Vwe von Aeewoeselen from Frankfurt, Germany, who entered the Distillery to make a little piece of history.

Jack Teeling, Founder and Managing Director of Teeling Whiskey said: “It has been a very successful and busy year for Teeling Whiskey and we are absolutely delighted to welcome our 185,000th visitor through the doors today.

“Since we opened the first operational distillery in Dublin in over 125 years in June 2015, our distillery has attracted visitors from both at home and abroad and we look forward to continuing to grow our numbers over the next year.”

The drinks business is a competitive market with the ever popular Guinness Storehouse tour and Jameson Distillery tour to name but a few popular attractions in Dublin, but it seems there’s plenty of appetite for all of their offerings.

The Irish Whiskey Association, an IBEC group, reported in 2015 that Irish whiskey exports would double by 2020, and double again by 2030.

The Teeling Whiskey Company was founded in 2012 and their distillery in Merchants Quay opened in 2015, following a €10 million investment.
