This is the best breakfast you can eat, according to an Olympics strength coach

Carl Kinsella

The breakfast of champions.

Charles Poliquin, a strength coach who has helped his trainees to Olympic medals, has described the perfect breakfast for staying muscular.

In his blog, Poliquin has written that it’s essential to keep your dopamine and acetylcholine levels up throughout the day in order to help with your energy and focus while working out.

The best breakfast to set you up for a day of training consists of meat and nuts – which provide low-fat sugars and smart fats.

The meats that Poliquin refers to by name are beef, venison, chicken, turkey and sausages. The nuts are macadamias, pistachios, hazel nuts, brazil nuts and almonds.

So there you have it. If you’re looking to stay lean and muscular, go nuts.
