As Brian Maher inches his way closer to the the end of the JOE Gets Ripped challenge with every lift, Dan Smullen is keeping a closer eye on his diet. Oh, and more giant sets.
Brian Maher has been tackling giant sets for the past few weeks, and can feel the benefits after every session. His aching muscles are a sign that everything is going well, and with the end in sight Brian is pushing his way forward at full pelt.
His cheat meals might be gone as he tries to reign in his diet close to the end of the challenge, but Dan still allows him some treats. Seeing as those treats are just more exercises though, we think we prefer the traditional kind.
Today, the lads blasted their shoulders with a huge number of exercises to really isolate the muscles, from shrugs to the ever popular kettle bells, and Brian looks forward to a special treat he's got in mind for when he finishes...a bowl of Corn Flakes for some reason.
