Thinking of letting the whiskers grow in aid of a good cause next month? Here’s why some of Ireland’s most well-known men have decided to participate in 'Movember' this year.

Normally, the JOE editorial team are used to seeing head honcho Mike Sheridan in the same sweat clad t-shirt and a beard that would put a yeti to shame, but we have to say he scrubbed up pretty well for this shoot for The Sunday Independent Life magazine to promote this year’s Movember campaign.

Mike was joined by the likes of Leinster and Ireland rugby player Jamie Heaslip, magician/illusionist Shane Gillen and jockey Paul Carberry for the old school but very classy shoot (see video above), which is all in aid of a brilliant cause.
