The Derrytresk-Dromid Pearses saga has taken twist after turn after somersault over the last few weeks – and another development today could have implications for Dromid’s Kerry superstar Declan O’Sullivan.
O’Sullivan was painted as one of the victims of the brawl which descended on the Portlaoise pitch during the All-Ireland junior semi-final between the clubs last month.
He was struck by the handbag of one of Derrytresk’s over-exuberant female fans, who was subsequently banned from attending all GAA matches for 48 weeks.
However, that new photo at the top of the page could well have disciplinary implications for Kerry’s three-time All Star and two-time All-Ireland winning captain.
The photo was taken by Eddie O’Neill, a Derrytresk club member, and was unpublished before being carried in today’s Irish Times.
