Elden Ring is giving all players free DLC this week

Elden Ring

The downloadable content will be available from Wednesday.

Ever since it was released in February of this year, Elden Ring has maintained a stranglehold on any and all conversations around the best game of 2022, so once those lists start being compiled, don’t be surprised to see it get mentioned. A lot.

While there are still some players out there who are methodically chipping away at Elden Ring’s infamous difficulty, the folks behind the game have revealed that the long-rumoured downloaded content is very much real.

Not only that, but it is arriving this week.

And not only that, but it will be free for everyone with a copy of the game!

As per the trailer of the DLC’s announcement:

“Come forth, warriors, and bask in the glory of the Colosseums.

“The Colosseums of Limgrave, Leyndell and Caelid will open their gates, allowing players to engage in battles such as duels, free-for-alls and team fights.”

All you need to do is download the latest update for Elden Ring once it becomes available, and you’re good to go!

While full details of what the Collosseum update will consist of are still a little thin on the ground, but the general consensus is that it will allow players to battle each other, including 1v1, 2v2 and 3v3. There is also that mention of “free-for-alls”, which definitely has a Battle Royale sound to it to us.

Elden Ring’s Collosseum update will be available for all players from Wednesday, 7 December.
