Rory Cashin

Also, the brand new Evil Game is out this week, and it is A LOT of fun!

Welcome to JOE Gaming Weekly, your weekly round-up of all things gaming.

Or, specifically, the one big game you should play this week, the one big piece of gaming news you need to know about, and the one big deal available to purchase this week.

So, off we go!

GAME OF THE WEEK

Evil Dead: The Game

Bruce Campbell plays the legendary Ash in this asymmetrical multiplayer game, and he’ll be joined by some other recognisable names and faces from the Evil Dead franchise. You’ll be able to control one of four playable survivor classes (Leaders, Warriors, Hunters and Supports) and one of three playable demons (the Warlord, the Puppeteer, and the Necromancer), and the end goal is simple: kill each other.

The game is playable as both co-operative combat or player-vs-player, so you can team up with your mates (or strangers) to kill the demons, or take aim at each other.

Evil Dead: The Game is available on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, PS4, Xbox One, Switch and PC right now.

Multiversus’ closed alpha runs from Thursday 19 to Friday 27 May, initially giving participants access to 15 playable fighters, seven maps, and a selection of different modes, before launching later this year on Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, PS5, and PC.
