Juventus will have a new name in FIFA 20 after ending partnership with EA Sports

Sound familiar?

A certain Italian team have done some amazing business this transfer window.

They got one of Arsenal’s best players on a free transfer in Aaron Ramsey, and are about to land one of the hottest prospects in football in Matthijs de Ligt.

Add that to their lengthy list of existing talent and you may be looking forward to playing with them in the upcoming game FIFA 20.

But if you are, it won’t be that simple.

Sure, you can play with those players, in that iconic black and white kit, in that league – but they won’t be Juventus.

You will be playing instead as Piemonte Calcio, following an announcement on Tuesday morning that a partnership between EA Sports and Juventus had ended.

Piemonte Calcio will use real-world, authentic players in FIFA 20 and FIFA 20 Ultimate Team, all of whom come from Juventus’ real life team.

It might sound a bit confusing, unless you’re used to the Merseyside Red and Man Red days of Pro Evolution Soccer, in which case you’re probably well used to it.

EA has confirmed that the team will consist of real-world players, including authentic names and faces, and that their squad’s player ratings will be updated based off their real-world performances.

Piemonte Calcio players will also share chemistry links with players from the same Nation, League and Club in Fifa Ultimate Team.

So not all that big of a change, but quite funny nonetheless.
