It comes from the folks behind some of the most talked about games of the last few years.

Annapurna Interactive is truly marking itself out as a forward-thinker when it comes to gaming.

Previously, they’ve helped to deliver What Remains Of Edith Finch and Outer Wilds, as well as this month’s most-talked-about game, Telling Lies.

It looks like they’re going to be continuing that cutting-edge approach to how players and games interact with their upcoming release If Found…, which was created by Irish company Dreamfeel.

The first teaser for the game has dropped, showing off the visual and aural beauty that should be expected from what is being called an “interactive novel”.

As per the game’s official wesbite, the plot synopsis is as follows:

“Achill Island, December 31st 1993. In the crumbling ruin of an old mansion, a young Irish woman called Kasio destroys her diary. A record of the last 28 days, it tells the story of her return home to Achill, her conflict with her family, the friendships she makes and the challenges she faces. And somewhere within its pages is an explanation for the looming black hole that’s about to destroy the Earth.”

That sounds like … a lot. Why Achill Island? Why New Year’s Eve? Why 1993 going into 1994? Why is Kasio destroying the diary if it might be able to save the planet?

Hopefully If Found… can answer all of these questions and more when it arrives on PC and iOS in (hopefully) early 2020.
