The PlayStation 5 could hit shelves as early as next year.

The possible price and a list of potential launch titles for the PlayStation 5 have been revealed in a report on Monday.

According to the report by Comic Book, a person claiming to be a European developer working on an unannounced PlayStation 5 launch title has leaked a number of details about the inner workings at Sony and the preparations underway for the company’s next console.

The leaks claim that the price of the PS5 could be as high as €440, well over the €350 launch price of the PS4.

Details of the new console’s hardware suggest that it will be backwards compatible, will come with a new premium version of PlayStation Plus, will have an in-built 2 terabyte hard drive, support 8k upscaling and be compatible with a new VR headset.

There will also be a new controller, called the DualShock 5.

As far as games are concerned, it has been reported that the PS5 will launch alongside a number of massive titles, with the following listed as possible games to be released alongside it: Gran Turismo 7, a free-to-play PUBG 4K remaster, The Last of Us Part II, Ghost of Tsushima remastered, Battlefield Bad Company 3, the new Assassin’s Creed, GTA VI and a Harry Potter game.

None of this has been confirmed, so don’t be getting too excited, but it may suggest that there is at least some movement on the next generation of Sony’s impossibly popular consoles.

Guess we’ll just have to wait and see.
