Red Dead Online to arrive before the end of November

Rory Cashin

Yep, this game isn’t done consuming your entire life just yet…

We’re sure that anyone playing the game is still entirely consumed by it, but if you thought the end was in sight… we have some news for you…

During a recent company announcement, Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick talked about the upcoming Red Dead Online addition, and explained that “it will launch in public beta towards the end of the month, Rockstar will have a lot more to say about it”.

Anyone who played Grand Theft Auto V and then got re-lost in the world of GTA Online will know how good Rockstar make these online worlds, and we’re sure the same will happen with RDR Online.

Take-Two president Karl Slatoff called it “an evolution of the classic multiplayer experience in the original Red Dead Redemption, blending narrative with competitive and cooperative gameplay in fun new ways”.

Meanwhile, there are very few actual details on what to expect from the online game, but a new theory has begun to do the rounds involving a secret trip to Mexican prison in RDR2 that you can only get into if you take advantage of some in-game glitches:

In the lead-up to the release of the game, there was a leak of all of the achievements of the game to come (check them all out here if you’re not one who cares about spoilers), but one of them was titled “Bronze – Breakout – Red Dead Online: Complete the Intro”.

Breakout.

Secret prison.

It does seem to add up, in a certain kind of way.

We’ll know for certain before long…
