How many have you played?
Running since 2014, the Game of the Year Awards have become a cultural highpoint for gamers, as not only the official best game of the year named (as well as many other technical awards given up), but the gaming distributors and developers also use the event as a huge platform for first-look teasers, trailers and gameplay footage of their upcoming releases.
So while this year’s event – taking place in Los Angeles on 9 December – will have a lot of eyes on it to see if we’ll get the latest glimpses of God Of War or Gotham Knights, we’ll also be checking it out to see what will be taking home the most coveted award of the night.
Recent winners of the prestigious title include The Last Of Us Part II, Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice, God of War, The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild and Overwatch.
