They’ll be arriving on pretty much every console very soon…

You can’t keep a good hedgehog down.

In cinemas, Sonic The Hedgehog 2 had the biggest opening weekend for a video game adaptation ever, and after two weeks it has already made over $240 million worldwide.

Later in 2022, we’ll be getting Sonic Frontiers, which will be the first in the series of games to feature on “open zone”, which will be interesting to navigate with a character who frequently smashes the sound barrier.

But before all of that, we’ve got Sonic Origins to look forward to.

The collection will include re-mastered versions of Sonic The Hedgehog, Sonic CD, Sonic The Hedgehog 2, and Sonic 3 & Knuckles, and will be available in both “classic” mode and “anniversary” mode, the latter of which included some level upgraded levels and widescreen views.

There will also apparently be a “Digital Deluxe” version of the game which will feature bonus, extra-difficult levels.

So, basically, if you’re a fan of the franchise – which released the first game a little over 30 YEARS AGO – then this will be a must-buy.

Sonic Origins will be available via digital stores for PS5, Xbox Series X|S, PS4, Xbox One, Switch and PC from Thursday, 23 June.
