Pokémon Pokopia is selling out across the globe

Nintendo Switch 2's must-have new Pokémon game, Pokopia is selling out at retailers across the globe - but it's available at one website.

The physical version of the game is experiencing shortages due to demand among Pokémon fans and gamers.

Pokopia, the first Switch 2 exclusive Pokémon entry was released last week, and the physical version has already sold out in the UK and Ireland at the likes of Currys and Smyths.

While in the US, retailers including Walmart, GameStop, Target, and even Nintendo's official store are sold out.

According to The Game Business editor Christopher Dring, UK sales data suggests that physical supply of Pokopia was "seriously undersupplied" at retailers.

This is likely a similar situation worldwide, he said, suggesting that the shortages could be down to an underestimation of demand, rather than a significant upswell in sales.

According to Dring, Pokopi's UK launch physical sales were "not even half" of what Pokémon Legends: Z-A managed on Switch 2 last year.

There is one place that currently has stock of the physical version of Pokopia, with Amazon listing the game at €65.70.

However it has a delivery date of around 21-22 April at the time of writing, so it's likely that the online retail giant is also waiting for stock - but it's guaranteed.

The popular game lets players shape the land and build a cosy new life with Pokémon Play as a Ditto that has taken the appearance of a human.

You'll find and befriend fellow Pokémon and carve out a life for yourself by learning their moves to shape the land.

This includes Bulbasaur’s Leafage to make wild grass grow, and keep it healthy with Squirtle’s Water Gun to name a few.
