Love Island's Kaz Crossley speaks out after Abu Dhabi arrest
"I've made a lot of mistakes."
Kaz Crossley has spoken out after being detained in Abu Dhabi. The influencer was arrested after a video of her sniffing a white substance was leaked in 2020.
The reality star was arrested last week but has since returned to England. Speaking about the incident, the Love Island star said she is not going to let her past define her. She told her followers: "I've made a lot of mistakes but I will not allow my past to define who I am now."

Kaz said she wanted to speak out following the incident because she "owes it to my followers".
"In 2020, I was in Dubai. I was filmed – it was me in the video, no one forced me to do that – it was a time of my life where I definitely didn't love myself at all, probably. And this is reflected in what I was doing to my body and who I surrounded myself with. [The video] later got leaked and then, more recently, I was on my way to Thailand."
She explained that she flew over for "an amazing job offer".
"I did not think about the transit in Abu Dhabi and that it would be an issue for me because, obviously, I wasn't thinking and... yeah, everything happens for a reason. I was then detained in Abu Dhabi and kept in custody from Monday through to Friday.
Kaz then confirmed she was released on Friday. The reality star also said she was "very accepting of the situation".
"I was ready for whatever was going to happen to me because, at the end of the day, I take full accountability. I don't lie. I said that that was me in the video and explained the situation, it was a long time ago."
