Here’s how your BBQ skills could help you WIN an amazing prize…

Do you consider yourself something of a BBQ pro? Maybe you have a reputation for creating the best homemade burgers every summer?

Why not put those talents to the test for a chance to win a very cool prize?

Heinz have launched Ireland’s Best Homemade Burger Competition, giving you the chance to flex your cooking skills and WIN a €1,500 holiday voucher.

Heinz want to see what your perfect burger looks like, complete with your dream combination of toppings and, of course, the unmistakeable taste of Heinz Tomato Ketchup.

They’re asking the public to submit these delicious burger creations throughout the summer for a chance to win a €1,500 holiday voucher – an incredible prize for anyone looking to book a last-minute getaway over the next few months.

To enter Ireland’s Best Homemade Burger Competition, all you need to do is create a delicious homemade burger, using Heinz Tomato Ketchup. Then, share a snap of your tasty burger on social using the hashtag #HeinzBestBurgerIreland. Be sure to tag @HeinzIRL too and include your own handle in the caption (so we can contact you if you are the lucky winner!).

It really is that simple! Once you’ve uploaded your delicious creation, you’ll be entered into a draw to WIN the €1,500 holiday voucher.

2FM’s Doireann Garrihy has been tasked with judging the nationwide competition, choosing her top submissions over the next few weeks and, ultimately, picking an overall winner.

And to help you get started, here’s a very quick and tasty Four Cheese Burger recipe that’s so simple to make…

Ingredients:

  • 4 burger buns
  • 600g minced beef
  • 4 slices American cheese
  • 4 slices fresh goat cheese
  • 1/4 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
  • To serve: Your favourite burger toppings and some Heinz Tomato Ketchup

Method:

Step 1: Season the mince and form into four balls. On a high heat, place two into the frying pan, squashing to flatten. Sprinkle over some salt again and cook for 2 minutes. Then flip the burgers and repeat this step.

Step 2: Cover each burger with a slice of American cheese, a slice of goat cheese, and some Parmesan cheese. Cover with a lid for 1 minute until melted. Move onto a plate and repeat with the remaining burgers and cheese slices.

Step 3: Place your cooked burgers onto toasted burger buns, along with your go-to burger toppings and, of course, some Heinz Tomato Ketchup.

Step 4: Serve and enjoy!

Give it some Heinz! Let’s get the people of Ireland cooking. Submit your #HeinzBestBurgerIreland photos this summer to WIN a €1,500 holiday voucher.
