There’s still time to enter this year’s Le Crunch Apple of My Eye Song Contest but the deadline is looming. This is a life-changing opportunity and the winner will play a gig in a packed Whelan’s and walk away with €1500.
The national talent search is looking to unearth Ireland’s next big music star. All you have to do is send us a recording of you performing your favourite cover song. If you’ve always believed you have what it takes, this is your chance to live your dream.
Simply send us your recording on an MP3 or an MP4 to be in with a chance. It couldn’t be easier.
- Email it to [email protected] with your file attached or a link to your YouTube video included in the body of the email. You must also include your contact details in the email.
- Publicly share it on your Facebook page with the hashtag #LeCrunchSongs (we’ll contact you to get contact details if you’re shortlisted as a semi-finalist).
- Post your video on Twitter with the hashtag #LeCrunchSongs (we’ll contact you to get contact details if you’re shortlisted as a semi-finalist).
The closing date for entries is 20 February, 2017. We’ll also be holding all-day auditions in UCD on 8 February.
The five finalists will be chosen by a combination of a panel of judges and a public vote. Three of the finalists will be selected by the judges and the final two places will be decided by a public vote on the competition website.
Five finalists will play to a full house in Whelan’s for the Le Crunch Apple of My Eye Song Contest final on 23 March. The overall winner will get €1500 and four runners up will each get €250.
