From October 4 to October 6 the hunter will become the hunted as the 2013 Red Bull Foxhunt takes place and we’re giving one lucky JOE reader a chance to enter this sold out event.

Thanks to the guys at Red Bull Ireland, JOE has one EXCLUSIVE money-can’t-buy pass to the Red Bull downhill mountain bike event known as the ‘Foxhunt’, which takes place over the first weekend in October in Kilbroney Park, Rostrevor, Co. Derry.

Registration for the event is now closed and 400 downhill enthusiasts from all over Ireland and the UK are gearing up to take on this mass-start endurance race. If you missed the registration then fear not, as we have one highly exclusive pass still left to give away, but be warned: this competition is NOT for the faint of heart.

The downhill mountain-biking legend, multiple World Cup winner & current favourite for the 2013 title, Gee Atherton (below) will feature as ‘the fox’ for this event which sees the traditional and somewhat controversial past-time of foxhunting turned on its head.

Instead of the riders chasing Atherton, he will instead be in pursuit of ‘the hunters’, who will be comprised of the 400 bikers all competing in this fast-paced cross-country, downhill mountain bike chase.

The winner of our competition will receive entry to the Foxhunt event, food and accommodation for Friday & Saturday and you’ll also receive a one-on-one course tutorial with world champion Gee Atherton and a one-on-one course ride-through with Irish downhill champion and 2012 Red Bull Foxhunt winner, Greg Callaghan.

If you think you have what it takes to take on the 2013 Red Bull Foxhunt then just answer the question below and you could be in with a chance of winning the big prize.

Remember, you’d want to be fairly comfortable on a downhill mountain bike to take part; this isn’t your average leisurely cycle through the Phoenix park…
