We’ve come up with a great way of killing the boredom of your commute to work by finding 15 excellent podcasts for you to listen to.

1. An Irishman Abroad
Jarlath Regan interviews well-known Irish people who are doing well “out foreign” as the mammy would say.
Some of the most recent guests include Graham Linehan, Timothy V Murphy and Shane Horgan.
2. WTF with Marc Maron
Outspoken comedian Marc Maron chats to celebrities and other comedians in this podcast which has been running for six years.
3. Football Weekly
The Guardian’s football podcast, hosted by James Richardson, is one of the best in the business.
It’s funny and informative, the perfect mix.
4. How Did This Get Made?
This one is a must for movie fans; Paul Scheer, June Diane Raphael, Jason Mantzoukas and a guest take the piss out of terrible movies.
This catchy theme tune should attract you, the podcast is really fun.
5. Art of Wrestling by Colt Cabana
Ex-WWE wrestler Colt Cabana interviews some of the biggest names in sports entertainment.
His explosive show with CM Punk last year went viral and his interview with Irish wrestler Prince Devitt is also really good.
6. Serial
You’ve probably heard about this podcast, it was all the rage before Christmas and it’s an excellent listen.
It looks into the 1999 murder of Hae Min Lee for which her ex-boyfriend Adnan Syed was jailed, but was he really guilty?
You’ll have to listen to find out.
7. Second Captains
It’s the best sports podcast in the country. Eoin McDevitt, Ciaran Murphy, Ken Early, Mark Horgan and Simon Hick consistently deliver top quality analysis, and it’s really funny too.

8. Documentary on One
RTÉ Radio 1’s Doc on One is a source for some of the most interesting and quirky documentaries you’ll find anywhere.
A great one for a long drive on a Sunday evening.
9. The MMA Hour
Presented by the brilliant Ariel Helwani, this is the go-to podcast for all MMA fans.
Its popularity in Ireland has surged since Conor McGregor burst onto the scene; always a quality listen.
10. Desert Island Discs with Kirsty Young
The description is this: “Kirsty Young asks castaways to choose eight records, a book and a luxury to take with them to the mythical desert island.”
Her recent guests included Ray Winstone, Sarah Millican and Damien Lewis.
11. Chris and Ciara
Chris Greene and Ciara King’s late night show on RTÉ 2fm is one of the best on Irish radio.
It’s weird, clever, current and very funny. Find it now.
12. Bill’s Monday Morning Podcast
Every Monday morning comedian Bill Burr goes on a ramble (rant) about a few topics and it’s amazing.
For example, he rambles about snow storms, terrorist names and Puerto Ricans in his latest one. It’ll make you laugh.
13. Hamish and Andy
If you’ve spent time in Australia, you’ll more than likely know who Hamish and Andy are.
The two radio presenters bounce off each other in a brilliant way and are just so creative, innovative and hilarious. It’s top notch.
14. DLC
A podcast for gamers hosted by Jeff Cannata and Christian Spicer who are joined every week by the best gaming experts on the planet.
15. This American Life
The daddy of podcasts in America, over one million people download every episode and you should too.
Ira Glass (below) and his team produce a podcast that consists of short stories that are told in a really compelling way, a real gem.
