You can now buy meat ice pops in New York

Today in hipster cuisine..

A cafe in New York called Springbone which specialises in broths have added ice pops to their menu.

The company specialises in superfoods and say on their website that the slow simmering of meat, bones and ligaments releases healing compounds and minerals that are easy for the body to absorb and help to transform it inside and out.

This is why they have incorporated broth into their new ice pops.

The first of the new creations to be launched is the beef-broth popsicle which costs $4.

According to the New York Post, founder Jordan Feldman, says it doesn’t actually taste like meat.

It’s made with coconut milk, pomegranate juice, raspberry puree, a touch of maple sugar and of course, some beef bone broth.

While it may seem pointless to add this ingredient to an ice pop if you can’t even taste it, Feldman says that it is actually for the numerous health benefits which, according to their website, includes clearer skin, stronger bones and improved sleep.
