It is part of a complete rejuvenation of the airline’s aesthetic.

Not too long since they announced a massive overhaul of their logo and aircraft styling, Aer Lingus have also given their uniforms a change, too.

Under these new uniform guidelines, it will no longer be mandatory for female cabin crew to wear make-up or skirts.

Speaking to JOE, an Aer Lingus spokesperson stated:

“As part of the brand refresh announced in January we revealed plans for a brand new uniform designed by renowned Irish designer Louise Kennedy which is being rolled out later this year.

“The new uniform collection was designed in partnership with a number of our staff to reflect changing dress norms and to better meet the needs of our guest-facing colleagues.

“The new uniform collection incorporates a range of wearer options including a trouser option for females and an ability to combine collection elements.

“Aer Lingus uniform staff guidelines for the new uniform are currently being completed, but Aer Lingus can confirm that these will not include mandatory use of make-up.”
