The funnyman was quick to post the photo to Twitter.
The name Dara is one that causes many problems at the best of times. There are numerous ways of spelling it, including the double r or adding a ‘gh’Â at the end, which people outside Ireland will inevitably try to pronounce (even though it’s silent).
Then, of course, there is its similarity to the name ‘Darren’ which, if you are an Irish man living in England or beyond, has probably become your new name.
Irish comedian Dara O’ Briain has lived across the foam for some time now and despite his fame on both stage and on the television, some people are still struggling with his name.
One of those people is none other than the Prime Minister, Theresa May, who sent the funnyman a letter regarding Brexit.

May somehow managed to address the letter to both his first name and surname which, to be fair, is an easy mistake to make considering Briain is also a very Irish name.
Is it possible that the comedian has the most Irish name of all time? Maybe, but he also has a close contender from a Sligo U-17 player who featured in the warm-up game before the Connacht Quarter-Final clash…

Some previous tweets crawled back into the limelight after the comedian’s tweet went viral.
