WATCH: People are flocking to this barber shop in Kildare for a haircut

It's attracted quite the herd of people.

It’s shear brilliance, ewe won’t believe your eyes.

There are many things that represent summer, the lovely but rare sight of the sun, the smell of freshly cut grass, the start of the GAA campaign, the list goes on.

Another thing that signals the start of summer is the shearing of sheep. As the weather gets hotter, sheep don’t need the big coat of wool that kept them warm in the winter months.

Much like sheep, most people love a fresh trim in the summer whether they’re heading to a festival, going out with friends or just in need of a cut.

This barber in Kildare has integrated shearing into his method of cutting hair in his shop The Master Barber Shop. Honestly, we’re not trying to pull the wool over your eyes.

It has caused quite a stir in recent weeks and on his YouTube account the barber asks, “Have you see these been used before?” adding that “I love using these on a busy day in the shop, the shop goes silent when I whip them out to cut the hair!”

According to the Farmers Journal, the concept began a little over a year ago when a good friend of his presented him with an old sheep shears to hang up in the shop as a decoration.

Some of his friends joked that he wouldn’t be able to cut hair with the sheep shears and to prove them wrong, he got a fresh pair made with adjustments to suit his cutting style and has been using them since.

You maybe a bit sheepish about the idea but as this video shows he is just as accurate with the shears, so don’t fear about being like a lamb led to the slaughter.
