NoLiTa named best nightclub in Ireland at the 2019 National Hospitality Awards

“Best Hotspot” in Ireland was also revealed at the awards ceremony.

It probably goes some way towards describing the Irish nightclub scene that the winner of 2019’s best nightclub award is best known for being a restaurant.

Which is not intended as shade towards the winner of the award, which was named Best Nightclub at the National Hospitality Awards 2019, which took place at the Shelbourne Hotel on Monday 7 October.

But it does highlight a problem in the Irish club scene, one which JOE has covered a lot lately, in that pure nightclubs in Ireland appear to be a dying breed.

The runners-up for the award included the Everleigh on Harcourt Street in Dublin, Opium on Wexford Street in Dublin, and The Foundry on Tullow Street in Carlow, but the overall winners prize went to NoLiTa, on George’s Street in Dublin.

In the similar-but-not-quite-a-nightclub category of Best Hotspot, the runners-up were House on Leeson Street in Dublin, Café en Seine on Dawson Street in Dublin, and The Devlin in Ranelagh in Dublin, but the overall winner was The Ivy, also on Dawson Street in Dublin.

So if you’re planning your night out, and want to be in the best places that Ireland has to offer, they are the spots you should be aiming for.

And while you’re at it, why not find out which Dublin nightclub best matches your personality?
