With fresher's week just around the corner for students, Boojum has announced a massive giveaway of 15,000 burritos.

The promotion is part of the "Buy One Bank One" campaign, which means that anyone with a valid student ID buying a meal in store next Thursday (22 September) will get a voucher for a free Boojum meal to use at another time.

Not only that, but one lucky student who participates in the giveaway will win €5,000, along with free burritos for the year.

"We have always been a student-focused brand and are constantly looking into ways that we can give back to our loyal customer base," said David Maxwell, Managing Director at Boojum.

"What better way to reward them for choosing us, than offering them another free burrito to bank?”

According to the Union of Students Ireland (USI), the average cost for a student going to college in Ireland is around €50,000, between accommodation, fees, and other costs.

“Life at university can be financially challenging at the best of times but this year especially with inflation soaring, students will really be feeling the pinch," Maxwell added.

"With that in mind we wanted to build on our previously successful Fresher’s week campaigns and also offer a student the chance to have us fund their studies for a year.”

The offer runs in all 14 Boojum outlets across the country, so be sure to get down early to bank yourself a free burrito.
