British journalist attempts to equate Brexit to Eighth Referendum, and the public reaction was intense

This didn’t go down well. At all.

As the country is still in a celebratory mood following the repeal of the Eighth Amendment, the reactions have been coming in think and fast.

However, there are some people who are attempting to use the repeal result in other ways, such as journalist Toby Young, who sent out the following tweet in the hours following the confirmation of the repealing of the Eighth Amendment:

The Spectator writer appears to be equating the majority vote result of the Eighth Referendum to the result of Brexit vote, which is still a bone of contention for many within the UK.
