Taking the first step on the property ladder is an exciting milestone in anyone’s life, but if you find the prospect a little bit daunting, you’re not the only one.
There are plenty of hurdles to be overcome before the foundations are laid on your own self-build or you turn the key in the front door of a home you’ve just purchased, but thankfully, there are experts on hand to help you safely navigate every step of the way.
EBS know all about looking after first-time buyers and they’ll be hosting the latest in a series of events on Thursday 5 May, a virtual event that’s FREE to attend, with experts on hand to explore every single aspect of buying or building your first home.
Hosted by comedian Eric Lalor, Home Truths with EBS will feature contributors who have been there and done that and will share their own experiences with the aim of helping YOU figure out your own journey to owning your first property.
Also on the panel will be:
- EBS Mortgage Master Emer O’Reilly will be giving loads of expert insight into how the mortgage process works from start to finish.
- Interior Designer, Project Manager and Creative Director Dave O’Brien will be sharing some top interior tips on the evening
- Lisa Forde has just bought her first home having attended our Mortgage Masterclass show in February, and she’ll be talking through her experience and giving advice on what she found helpful as an applicant.
- Ciaran Mulqueen, better known as @CrazyHousePrices on social media, will be chatting through his experience in purchasing his home and his advice on how to navigate the current housing market
Many first time buyers will be followers of Ciaran’s on Twitter and Instagram, and this relaxed and informative event is the perfect opportunity to ask him any questions you have about the realities of the current housing market and get his expert advise for first-time buyers.
Amongst the talking points at the event will be the mortgage process and how it works, how to self-build if you’re going down that route, figuring out when it the right time to build or buy and what type of houses to be on the lookout for.
All in a relaxed and convival atmosphere to make everyone tuning in feel at ease about their property journey.
