Chris Martin thanks Ireland for electing "gay, immigrant prime minister" during Dublin gig
It looked like one hell of a gig.
Just about everyone in Ireland probably watched their Facebook, Twitter, Snapchat and Instagram feeds fill up with the 80,000 people flooding their social media with pics, streams, videos and statuses from the Coldplay concert in Croke Park.
Everyone became an irrationally good photographer as the crazy beautiful sunset kicked in just as the band were reaching their cresendo, and we refuse to repost any of those photographs here because we're already blind with jealousy, and we really don't need to be adding to that right now.
However, during the gig, Chris Martin did take a time-out to the thank the country for one thing in particular:

So there you go, Leo Varadkar.
Looks like you just made a very popular new friend.
