A classy move from the Scouse entertainer.

John Bishop felt so bad after showing up 45 minutes late for a gig in Northampton that he spend a cool £1,000 buying drinks for the audience. Bishop was stuck in traffic on his way to the Royal & Derngate Theatre so felt the only way he could make up for the delay was to treat punters and staff to some booze. The Daily Mirror spoke to a staff member who said it’s: “Never happened here before. John’s an all-round nice guy.” Fans also tweeted their surprise, though not everyone seemed too grateful... “Cheers John a Bishop, late comer, comedian and man with too much money clearly.” There's a line about gift horses we're struggling to remember...
