Dream job alert! All-expenses paid trip around the world doing fairly handy work

Dream job

This sounds like an absolute pleasure cruise.

We mean literally. An actual pleasure cruise.

Royal Caribbean International has today opened applications for its first ever “Shore Explorer apprenticeship.”

The company is looking for somebody to join their cruise for three weeks in order to act as the apprentice to their “Instagrammer-in-Chief,” Russ Francis. The role will include documenting their experiences and uploading the footage to Instagram, Instagram Stories and IGTV.

The successful candidate will receive over €2,200 (£2,000) per week (for three weeks) upon completion of their trip, which ain’t too shabby neither.

On becoming a Shore Explorer judge, James McVey said: “My jungle experience taught me that you really can’t beat the thrill of exploring new destinations and experiences – whether on land or sea – and that’s what becoming a Shore Explorer is all about.

“I’m so excited to be working with Royal Caribbean to find the perfect person for this new Apprentice-Ship; someone who has a passion for travel, exploration and seeking out new and extraordinary experiences around the world.”

The destinations involved include:

  • Perfect Day at CocoCay, The Bahamas
  • Seward, Alaska
  • Lisbon, Portugal
  • Stavanger, Norway
  • Dubai, UAE
  • Osaka, Japan

Applicants can apply for the position by posting their most extraordinary travel story on Instagram (including Instagram Stories and IGTV), tagging @RoyalCaribbeanUK and #ShoreExplorer. They must be aged 21 years or over.
