Are you one of the guilty ones?

Dublin Fire Brigade took to Twitter on Friday evening to share a message regarding public safety when it comes to drinking.

The internet-savvy team opted for a lighthearted approach in warning people of the dangers of overindulging in alcohol ahead of this weekend. Going on the current piqued interest in gin, the social media team decided to post the following tweet on Friday night.

The tweet says:

“We don’t collate statistics for the phenomenon of Gincidents. We do know however that cooking while a bit tipsy causes injuries and fires. Best leave Gincidents confined to dancing on tables (which we don’t recommend either) #DrunkCooking”

Dublin Fire Brigade is known for indulging in their social media team’s playful sense of humour when it comes to their Twitter platform, in the hopes of spreading strong messages in a simple yet memorable way.

As well as providing important information in a jovial fashion, the Twitter and Facebook accounts also supply up-to-date information on real time events, equipping the nation with extensive information of no-go areas, instructions in times of need and reminders of the importance of working fire detection alarms.

The team won best Social Media of a State Body back at the Social Media Awards in 2016 and has been outdoing themselves ever since.
