Science has proven that Ed Sheeran is helping red-haired men have more sex

Study proves that Ed is a major boost for those with fiery locks.

It isn’t just his music that is helping to set the mood…

Award-winning musician and official dragon food Ed Sheeran is the reason why more redheads are getting the sex lately, according to a number of studies.

A recent study by OnePoll.com asked 1,000 women and 175 red-headed men some questions about hair colour, and found that over a third of the woman had a more favourable opinion of red-headed men in light of Ed Sheeran’s popularity, while most of the men admitted that they were more confident about their ginger tinge.

Similarly, a poll conducted by Casumo resulted in findings that they then referred to as The Ed Sheeran Effect, telling NME: “It’s unsurprising that redheads are attracting more attention now than in previous years. Donning fiery red locks are popular among both male and female celebs with stars like Emma Stone and Isla Fisher leading the way for red-headed women. Ed Sheeran has shown how his appearance has no affect on his talent and more people are embracing their natural colour.”

The research of a group of 25-to-34 year old men with red hair found that they were both teased less and getting more sexual attraction in direct relation to Sheeran’s increasing popularity.

As for Sheeran himself, he has been well aware of the usefulness of being ‘That Red Haired Guy’, both in terms of his business and his, uhm, private life.

He told The Daily Mail a while back that, “Being ginger can seem like a bad thing when you are young, but as a musician it has been my saving grace, because if you see a ginger kid on TV and there is only one messy-haired ginger kid who plays guitar, it is very easy to find them on Youtube.”

And then this is what he told The Telegraph about the sex stuff: “There are a lot of ginger dudes in England who are using me. That’s why I’m not hating on it. You know what, we’re finally getting laid! This is a good thing.”

Now this is just us Thinking Out Loud, but will this mean a massive uptick in ‘ginger dudes’ playing the guitar? If you’ve got a crush on a particular Galway Girl, then it might be time to dye the locks red.
