This week’s energy saving gadget looks at the Solar Centre Solar Landscape Spot Lights, which will certainly help to add a bit of light to your garden.

There’s nothing like relaxing out the back garden when you’ve come home from a hard day at work. Sadly, summer is officially over (not that we had much of one) and now the evenings are starting to a bit darker that bit quicker. So if you want to enjoy your garden to the fullest you’ll need some outdoor spotlights.

The Solar Centre Solar Landscape Spot Lights are the perfect little energy saving devices to add a bit of brightness to your garden, deck or outdoor area. The Solar Landscape Spotlights contain six super bright LEDs in each light fitting and can comfortably light up to a range of 20 metres.

The solar lights can be positioned up to five meters away from the solar panel enabling the lights to be placed in shaded areas were they wouldn’t normally charge during the day, which is quite handy.

You don’t have to plug anything in the mains as the lights charge by day and light up automatically at night. They also come with an on/off switch, so if you don’t like the idea of your back garden being lit up while you sleep you can simply turn them off.

They’re discrete and powerful

The lights will light up for up to 10 hours once they’re fully charged and they’ve been designed for UK and Irish weather, so they’re not going to fall apart when hit with the slightest of breezes.

They’re seriously handy to have if you want to enjoy more of your garden and also if you want to keep intruders out. If these sounds like the perfect energy saving gadget for you or someone you know then head over to the Electric Ireland website where they can be yours for just €69.99.
