Three days of bliss.
The long weekend is finally here and we’ve certainly made our plans, have you?
If not, don’t worry, there’s still a bit of time. But before you go and pack the back seats full of sun-screen and foldable beach chairs, let us tell you what you should actually expect.
Expectation: Getting a room in a hotel for the weekend won’t cost a fortune.
Reality: If you do manage to get a bargain, it will involve you staying in a room which is as big as a medium-sized closet.
Expectation: Taking off early on Friday will mean you arrive to your set destination relatively early. You might even be able to enjoy a stroll along the beach before it gets dark.
Reality: How does six hours on the M50 sound to you? Bank Holiday Fridays mean one thing: traffic as far as the eyes can see.
Expectation: It’s the summer so the weather will surely be good. Just make sure to pack the sunscreen.

Reality: HAHAHAHAHAHAHA! You live in Ireland. HAHAHAHA!
Expectation: There’ll be a great atmosphere around the pubs and clubs.
Reality: Everyone goes out during the long weekend… that means three hours of queuing for the bar. It’s like the traffic scenario, except in the pub.
Expectation: You’ll be well energised when you get back.
Reality: After all the traffic, rain and money burning, you’re going to need another holiday.
We hope you’ve adjusted those weekend expectations and remember guys, be safe.
Sprite, the truth is refreshing.
