On Friday night, two exit polls were revealed to show a potential landslide decision in favour of repealing the Eighth Amendment.
The Irish Times poll showed a 67% Yes Vote, while the RTE poll – revealed during The Late Late Show – showed over a 69% Yes Vote.
Despite the intense emotional investment in the debate, Ireland is not a country that is willing to let a potential joke pass us by without making it.
And this was very much one of those situations, as the RTÉ result allowed pretty much every single person on Twitter to make the exact same joke…
