From Mario to Homer, some of our most beloved pop culture icons have been given a pretty gruesome makeover
French artist Pierre-Yves Riveau, known as PEZ, has given some of the most well-known figures of our childhoods (and teen years...and adult years) from Mario to Homer and Bart a pretty gruesome makeover, re-imagining what they would look like underneath their skin.
Although Halloween was yesterday and this probably fits a little bit better with that particular time of year, we still reckon that these are pretty cool. They're drawn mostly with pencil, and we're big fans of his version of Bart, with a little nod to the three-eyed fish from The Simpsons in there too.
