PIC: Galway pub readies itself for Paddy’s Day with massive delivery of kegs stacked outside

These will take some drinking.

As most of you are no doubt fully aware, St. Patrick’s Day falls on a Friday this year, meaning that a greater number of people than usual are likely to take advantage of the long weekend to celebrate our national holiday with a few pints.

Already one of the busiest days of the year for publicans throughout the country, it’s likely to be even more manic this year and establishments will be keen to ensure they have enough supply to meet demand.

Preparations are well underway for Paddy’s Day at the Quays Bar on Quay Street in Galway, where JOE reader Alan Fahy spotted plenty of kegs stacked outside on a fine Monday morning in the west.

It will take quite a few people to get through the contents of those kegs and if you happen to be toasting Paddy’s Day in Galway or anywhere else with a pint or two on Friday, be sure to do responsibly.

Cheers to Alan Fahy for sending this our way.  If you have something you would like to share with us, send it to [email protected] or hit us up on Facebook or Twitter.
