If loving puns is wrong, we don’t want to be right.
Puns are great (when done correctly!) and we love them and anybody who doesn’t can’t be our friend.
To that end, two hotels in Galway have managed to get themselves into a horse-based pun-off on Twitter off the back of the impending Galway Races, and it has completely made our day.
It all started off innocently enough, with the Galway Bay Hotel tweeting out the following reminder that the Galway Races are starting in less than a week’s time:
Only 6 Days to go until the @Galway_Races 🐎🥂💃🏻 #GalwayRaces pic.twitter.com/4L49aKGaJI

Not missing a beat, just eight minutes later, the Connacht Hotel had replied with the first of the equine punnage:
Oh Hay 😉😍 you're a fine filly @Galway_Races #GalwayRaces pic.twitter.com/kdZuHGAHiy

And that was it, they were off, and they continued for quite some time, and we couldn’t be happier about it:

At the time of writing, they were still tweeting back and forth, so who knows how much longer and in what amazing directions they’ll both take this.
Regardless, we are 100% here for this.
