Irish people reveal which bad bathroom habit they would most likely dump their partner over

Do you have bad bathroom etiquette? You may want to fix that...

Rory Cashin

Everybody poops. But not everybody pees on the seat.

Basic bathroom etiquette should be taught from a young age, but there are a fair portion of folk out there who, once they get on their throne, find that all good manners get tossed right out the window.

Not too long ago, we found out how quickly folk were likely to dump their partners should they come into a large sum of money via a lotto win, and in a new poll given by Sanctuary Bathrooms to their Belfast customers, they were asked about different bad bathroom habits, and how likely they would split with their better (?) halves.

Here’s the results that they found:

  • 37% of participants would reconsider a relationship if their partner left the door open while going to the toilet
  • A quarter of participants would think about ending a romance over leaving the toilet roll holder empty
  • 54% of men would reconsider a relationship over their partner leaving stains in the toilet
  • Urinating on the seat and not flushing were the two issues most likely to cause women to rethink their relationship, with over half (57%) saying these two bad bathroom habits would make them think twice about staying with a partner
  • Overall, a quarter of both men and women would consider ending a relationship over a bad bathroom habit

Despite themselves saying that they would drive with their partners to Splitsville, open the door and kick them out if they didn’t have good enough bathroom behaviour, they themselves admitted to doing the bad deed:

  • 1 in 3 men admit to peeing on the toilet seat
  • 1 in 4 people leave the door open whilst doing their business
  • 1 in 5 women use excessive toilet toll

Do unto others, and all that.
