Jedward v Jedheads: This week’s most unexpected Twitter row

Twitter rows are ten-a-penny these days, but it’s fair to say we were surprised by the latest one to come across our radar – Jedward v their army of fans.

John and Edward upset their legion of manic followers at the weekend by announcing that they were unfollowing everyone.

Their rationale? A sort of socialism, it seems, culling the ones they follow to protect the equilibrium of their entire fanbase.

They tweeted, “Everyone who we follow send us your last DM because we are unfollowing everyone.”

A second tweet read, “We have been thinking about this over the last few months to keep things equal among the fandom.”

That prompted responses of varying severity. If severity is a word you could ever use in relation to Jedward's fluffy army of crazed loons.
