This is quite simply devastating news.

Jo’Burger Group Ltd has confirmed through its official social media channels that the company is going into liquidation.

As a result, several of Dublin’s most popular restaurants — including JoBurger, Crackbird, Hey Donna and Bar Giuseppe — are set to cease trading immediately. Each of the restaurants were based at locations around Dublin.

Skinflint, another Joe Macken restaurant, had already closed its doors in the last few weeks.

In a statement posted on the JoBurger Twitter page, the company wrote: “With great regret we confirm that Jo’Burger Group Ltd is going into liquidation. A combination of factors including challenging trading conditions have forced this move.

“We would like to thank our many customers for their years of support. But mostly thank you and sorry to all our crew and suppliers for their dedication and trust.”

Anyone with any taste for Middle-Eastern quisine, pizza, fried chicken or burgers with weird toppings will be very sorry to see each of these restaurants go.
