New year, new meal.

After the festivities of December, January can be a bit of a drag.

Several weeks of eating chocolate and crisps for breakfast takes its toll, and our tastebuds demand a change. Not long after McDonald’s announced they will be doing home deliveries across Ireland, they’ve started off 2019 with a new addition to their menu called the Veggie Wrap.

On those cold winter afternoons when you’re in bad need of comfort food, it could be a lifesaver.

Vegetarian Happy Meal

Regardless of whether or not you eat meat, it sounds pretty damn delicious. It comes with a soft toasted tortilla wrapped around some crispy red pesto goujons alongside ketchup, lettuce, and tomato.

There is also a brand-new Spicy Veggie Wrap if you prefer a bit of a kick. You’ll get the same tasty goujons as the original, only this time they’re doused in a healthy serving of Spicy Relish.

You honestly couldn’t even tell it’s meat-free when you look at the photo.

You shouldn’t have to be a meat eater to be able to enjoy a McDonald’s. Alongside the vegan burger they announced last year, the new wrap stands up pretty well with the rest of the menu.

It’s only fair then that vegetarians should be able to take home the latest Happy Meal toys as well. Now that there is a meat-free option available on the menu, you’ll be able to do just that.

The Veggie Wrap is available for both adult portions and Happy Meals. It doesn’t matter if you’re 27 years old and still collecting Happy Meal toys, we aren’t here to judge…
