It hits shelves in October.
Independent TD Michael Healy-Rae has written a book of recollections about his life and growing up in Kerry.
Continuing on the strong Kerry tradition of storytelling, Time To Talk: Stories from the heart of Ireland is neither a manifesto nor a memoir and is set to be published by the end of October.
He took to Twitter on Friday afternoon to share the news of the soon-to-be-published piece which, according to the 51-year-old, “celebrates the power of stories to forge real human connections and sustain us through life.”
Time To Talk goes on to detail the “biggest regret of his life” – that he didn’t have time to talk when somebody needed him most. This, in turn, he said, made him vow to “never to stop talking and listening, and really hearing what people were trying to say.”
Delighted to announce that I have written a book that will be hitting the shelves at the end of October. #TimeToTalkMHR #GillBooksAW18

Of course, this isn’t the first time the Independent TD has shared his thoughts for all to see.
Healy-Rae took to Twitter just last month to share a threatening message to the person who stole his unlocked bike from Dublin city centre.
He told Twitter that his bicycle was stolen after he left it outside the passport office in Dublin while he had been running some errands.
“I am looking for you, I will find you and it will be a sorry day for you that you ever decided to mess with me and my property,” his tweet read.
