PICS: This is the most expensive property for sale in Dublin on Daft.ie and it’s a beaut

Shrewsbury Road isn’t purple on the Irish Monopoly board for no reason.

Yesterday, we brought your attention to the Guinness family’s ancestral holiday home near Roundwood in Wicklow.

The 5,000 acre Luggala estate has hosted The Beatles and Michael Jackson and, as has been advertised on Daft.ie (the ad has since been removed), was available to buy for anyone who could cobble together a cool €28 million.

The most expensive property currently available in Dublin on Daft.ie isn’t as expensive, but if luxury property is your thing, you’d be looking at forking out the best part of €10 million for an eight-bedroom house known as ‘Fintragh’ on Dublin’s Shrewsbury Road.

Famously the most expensive road on the Dublin Monopoly board, Shrewsbury Road is home to some extravagant properties and this one is no different, with eight bedrooms, six reception rooms and an outdoor swimming pool and tennis court all on the one site.

Not only that, residents can “enjoy an alluring profusion of manicured lawns, well stocked flower beds, mature trees and shrubs for privacy” while “a detached garage/home office/games room for family leisure or staff quarters” is sure to appeal with deep enough pockets to be able to afford it.

In the market for a house worth just under eight figures? Or just want to check out a property you know you’ll never even come close to being able to afford?

Check it out on Daft.ie here.
