The author of the piece, Amy Alipio, features editor with the National Geographic Traveler, praised the “dazzling streetscapes” and the “joyous Procession of Light” in the city centre ahead of a festival that even she knows promises to be "bigger and better" than the award-winning 2015 edition.
Elsewhere in the piece, Alipio recommends a stay in the Dean Hotel on Harcourt Street, a night out in Lillie’s Bordello and visits to the Kilkenny Shop on Nassau Street and the Abbey Theatre.
Not a mention of Temple Bar, potatoes, leprechauns or a pint of Guinness in sight.
