You can now get paid to watch Netflix and nap

Sarah McKenna Barry

Netflix nap job

Dream job. Literally.

After a long day at work, there’s nothing we love more than sticking something good on Netflix, climbing into bed and gently dozing off.

But what if that in itself was your job?

It may sound a bit unbelievable, but Crafted Beds, a mattress company in the UK, is genuinely on the hunt to employ someone full-time to test out their products for Netflix-watching purposes.

Best of all, the role will pay the lucky candidate £24,000 (€28,440) for their services.

Literally sign us up right now.

The official job spec reads:

“Our customers are the most important thing to us, and whilst the aesthetic of our beds is a huge factor in customer satisfaction, our high quality mattresses are the cherry on top of the cake!

“To ensure we’re providing our customers with only the best beds that will give them an excellent quality look and sleep, we’re hiring a mattress tester to join our team.”

It continues:

“The mattress tester role is £24,000 per annum, full time, remote and entails trailing a new mattress every week. You’ll be working core hours, 37.5 hours a week, watching Netflix and napping on a Crafted Beds mattress to assess its comfortability score.

“You’ll extensively review the mattress and let us know whether you believe the quality is high enough to distribute to our customers.”

If you’re interested in applying for this position – and how could you not be? – bear in mind you must be based in the UK, over the age of 18, and be able to test out the mattresses without being disrupted.

Additionally, the company states that the candidate should have strong written communication skills.

If this is you, then let the company know why you’d be a perfect fit for the role.

Head on over to the company’s website and fill out their application form right here.
